Happy Anniversary Courtney!

I knew it was around New Years, but I'm glad I checked today because it turned out to be TODAY! This marks my 1st year anniversary of making caps. My first was for my friend Ashlee at Rachel's Haven. This was the cap:

It took me about 20 minutes to make since I had to get used to the program, but after that things came much easier! I've learned a lot by capping over this year and want to thank everyone who has supported me in the process.

I do have a few small favors to ask:

1. If you are on Rachel's Haven, please make a donation. We need to keep sites like this going!
2. WishList
3. Please comment on my blog postings or send me an e-mail. It's the only way I know what people like!

I've had a few people recently ask me when the new caps are coming. Right now, I'm working on 2 really good series caps that are going to take some work and also have the 2nd part of the collaboration between Alice and myself. Should have the collab up by end of weekend and at least one of the series sometime next week. In case you haven't noticed, I'm more about quality than quantity!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Love,
Courtney

Courtney's Top 13 TG Stories Part II

This blog has been a lot of fun for me and is a great outlet to not only post caps for people to enjoy, but also express my personal interest in TG Fiction. Since creating this blog, the most popular post in terms of views and comments has been Courtney's Top 13 TG Fiction Stories.

That post was a lot of fun for me since, for awhile, TG Fiction stories were my main interest in the community. (I love reading good romance novels in real life, so this is the transformation equivalent!) I realized after some time though that I left off some other really great stories that are on the same level as the original 13, so here comes Part II!

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER AGAIN!:

1. Trapped in a Fairy Tale by Carleton Vincent

In case you haven't noticed, I have a preference towards "realistic" transformations. However, I do enjoy a good magical story once in a while. This story features a guy who is turned into his friend's prom date in a Cinderella-style sequence. (Cinderella & Sleeping Beauty were my favorite Disney movies growing up!)

This is a really cute story and I LOVED the ending. There is a sequel to this story, however I thought it was a little average.

2. College Student by bojok71

This author had some good age regression stories, but seems to have disappeared from writing more. Relatively short story that is too the point!

3. Two Forms of I.D. by Joe Six-Pack

I can't believe I left this off of the original Top 13. This and Cheap Rent rank in my overall Top 10 Age Regression Stories list. This version on Lulu was revised from the original and is MUCH better in my opinion.

4. The Changeling by Janice

I haven't heard anyone else mention this story, but I think it has a very original plot and also like that it's written in 1st person. I'm a big fan of stories that take place overtime as well. VERY realistic story.

5. Throwing Like a Girl by Tar Baby

This story is pretty epic and might need to be read in a few sittings, but it's a great story and classic. I also like how the ending!

6. Over-Exposure by Lana B.

I noticed this author averages about one story a year on Fictionmania. Most of her stories are very long and I can tell she puts a lot of work into them. It shows, the stories are excellent. This one is my favorite of her's due to it being very realistic and how the character goes through changes literally over the entire story. I also love the fact that it's voluntary at first, but gradually gets deeper into the role of a female.

7. Justice in 2026 by Jenile Efhratum

I'm usually not a fan of stories that take place in the distant past or future, but this is a really amazing story. I love how the character is literally forced to accept his new life. There was supposed to be a sequel to this, but I'm not sure of it's existence. If you know more, please let me know!

8. Signal 3 3 5 by Lorraine B.

Another great author that seems to have not posted in awhile. I really liked this story because it didn't seem like the typical TG story. Goes into great detail about how the character copes with the changes that seem uncureable. I noticed a similar writing style...could there be a connection between her and Lana B.?

9. Model by Karen Elizabeth L.

If there was any story that I really wish had a sequel, it would be this one. The only negative thing about this story is that it ends just as the character enters their teen years! This story has been the inspiration for some caps of mine.

10. Shawn's Addiction by Sammie/Starhawk

A really good clean storyline that has just the right amount of sexiness in it.

11. No Half Measures by Jenny Walker

This story is so long, you are really better off buying the paperback so that you can read it over the course of a few days in the bathroom! I love stories that involve a guy changing because of a career move. Story is very beautiful!

12. Homecoming Princess & Princess Found by Arecee

Two-part story by another one of those amazing authors with great serials. This story does get graphic, but it's a good story if you are in the mood.

13. Kate Draffen by Swishy

In case you haven't noticed, this list contains a lot of long stories. This is one I actually haven't finished yet, but have browsed through. I'm putting it on the list because of what I have read, I was very impressed. Hits my preferences to the spot and seems to be inspired by a few of my other favorite stories.

The story that would have made this list: My Life Changed Drastically While Jogging by BC08: LOST STORY!

This author "was" amazing. They almost made the original list with "Never Bet Against Your Mother." These WERE on StorySite, but don't seem to exist anywhere else. This particular one involved a guy that was hit by a doctor while jogging. Solution: guy is surgically transformed to become the daughter of the doctor!

UPDATE: UPLOADED TO TG STORYTIME!

Well there you have it! I'm sure there will be a Part III at some point in time. If you are one of the authors I have mentioned, please message me! I would love to hear from you!

2nd Alice Collaboration: Part I

Alice and I got together the other day to hang out and after we were done trying on some things I got for Christmas and flirting with boys on Facebook, we decided to write some more caps together. Here's the first batch. Part II coming in a few days!

After Christmas Special!

Hope everyone had a festive holiday season. Mine was small, but good. Ate WAY too much (I'm a size 6 and not ever go above that again...). Didn't get everything I wanted, but if you are in the mood to get a late present for me, here's my wish list lol: Courtney's Wish List!

As promised, here are a few caps that I came up with for an "After Christmas" theme. A good 80% of the caps I see that have to do with Christmas just involve some girl with a Santa hat and some garland lingerie, so I wanted to do something a little different.

On Christmas night, I watched this one movie called Holiday in Handcuffs that I like. Made me get the inspiration for this one:

I don't like to do captions with really young kids, but this one kind of wrote itself and fit the plot I was going for.

and here's the last one. It's a different kind of cap and I know some will probably hate it (because it hits too close to home?) No actual transformation...yet..but all I can say is I heard they are working hard on this project and I may have more on this story next year ;).

And there you have it! Working on the other series that I mentioned in my last blog posting and will try putting new caps up at least once a week from now on. Please comment and let me know which caps you like and which ones you hate! Also please subscribe if you aren't already (Yes, you can stay Anonymous!)

Happy Holidays

This is a pic of me from a few years ago, it's been hard to get in the Christmas Spirit since I've been SOOO busy! Didn't get a chance to roll out any new finished caps, so no new ones before Christmas. Just wanted to write this to wish everyone happy holidays! I'm going to upload a few caps in the next few weeks in series. Here are ones I have in mind:

"After Christmas": Caps about what some boys really got in their stockings.

"REAL REALISTIC": We often say some caps are realistic in terms of possible, but it's unlikely someone is going to adopt a boy, give him a sex change, and he just deals with it. These caps are going to be extremely realistic of what WOULD happen.

"Video Caps": I always say I'm going to do these but never do..but now I finally have the content so just need to put it all together!

"Bridal Series": A few of my friends listened to too much of Rihanna's "We Found Love" and have decided to get married next year. I'm pretty sure I'll be asked to be a bridesmaid (never a bride!) But this puts me in the mood to wish some of my male friends would finally say yes to me feminizing them! These will have the Courtney touch!

Blog Exclusive: Collab with Alice

I had a lady named Alice write to me saying she loved the blog and wanted to get into capping. She asked if we could collaborate and of course I said "For sure!" Here are the results! Caps written by Alice, designed by Courtney.

Friends at Hooters

Made for my friend sp2000. Her blog is: http://sp2000tgcaptions.blogspot.com/

The "Making of" a Courtney Cap

I've received a lot of fan mail over the last few weeks from people wondering how I make my magazine caps. So I figured I would do a fun little post on how I create these!

Like all caps, first I get an idea. This one came from a post by Terri at Rachel's Haven encouraging members to do a "25 Caps of Christmas" series. I love doing magazine style caps and thought of how I could tie it in with Christmas. What American kid didn't grow up looking forward to looking at the Sears Wishbook every Christmas?! Perfect!

When I first got into making caps, I tried a lot of different programs. Gimp didn't work on my computer for some reason and Photoshop gave me menstrual cramps, so I settled on using Apple's iWork Pages. It's really easy to use since it's mostly drag and drop. Can't do a lot of more advanced graphics, but this suits my needs!

Next comes research. When I do these style of caps, I try to look at as many different examples as possible to get an idea.

Alright, this should be easy! Wishbook covers usually feature a simple photo and not much manipulation. At this point, I'll make a folder on my computer to hold all these graphics.

Now onto the content page. At first I looked at some retro Wishbooks to get some ideas. I found this:

Alright, a lot of random graphics, prices, etc. Wait a minute...what's wrong with this picture? When did the original Gameboy ever have color? WTF! Alright..how about a more modern page...

Much better! Cleaner and fun. The female side of me thinks the penguin bathroom is cute, but the male side of me makes me wonder why I would want to look at penguins while taking a shit?!..how about something with fashion!

PERFECT! Nice and clean layout, easy to duplicate, and some of the writing is already there! I'll use this as my landscape. Now comes the most difficult and time consuming part of making caps for me...finding the right pictures.

I can't stress this enough, I've read many GREAT cap stories that had inappropriate photos. I'm REALLY picky about this so I go to great lengths to ensure quality. Since this is a magazine style cap, it's really important that I also find hi-res photos since there may be very little, if any story. I definitely wanted a sexy holiday girl on the cover, so I began my search there. When looking for "Sexy Christmas", this came up:

REJECT! This is part of Courtney Quality Control!

I found a site with some good holiday models. Here were some others I considered:

Well, she's hot but I don't think Sears would put this on their cover!

A little better, but still too racy for the retail season!

I finally found a good photo, so I dragged it into Pages. After finding some graphics such as the Sears logo and text, it was ready to go. Very easy once I had the right photo! Now for the content page.

I spent a little while finding some good photos and graphics for this page. I wanted to stay as true to the original format as possible so I went looking for similar looking items. This is what it looks like when I'm putting something like this together:

After completion, I always try and proofread everything again. I like to edit with the fonts I'm going to use in order. Often I use www.dafont.com if I can't find something.

I think this turned out pretty good! Nothing like feminizing guys just in time for the holidays!

"Birthday"

This is a cap I did for my friend Simone. Her blog can be found at http://misstresssimone.blogspot.com/

I really liked making this cap. I love spoiled rich bitch teen caps!
