Happy Halloween! Introducing a new short-film I've been working on.
The Crossroads is a supernatural horror-comedy that puts a modern twist on the classic “sold my soul to the Devil for musical talent” legends, inspired by the folklore surrounding blues musicians who supposedly made deals with the Devil at lonely crossroads.
Jacob Andrews is a 27-year-old musician performing with a small town cover band called The DDs: (Divorced Dads) He was once signed to a label back in the Myspace days, but has since grown tired of playing small-town dive bars and dreams of something bigger, Jacob makes a mysterious bargain with Mrs. Anderson, a representative of the sinister Six Six Six Enterprises.
The promise? Fame, fortune, and extraordinary musical talent.
The catch? Jacob never specified exactly who he wanted to become.
During a performance at Uncle Dickey's Dive Bar, Jacob discovers that something is terribly wrong. His voice begins changing, and he retreats to the men's restroom, where a horrifying supernatural transformation unfolds.
Within minutes, Jacob Andrews is gone, replaced by Sienna Vale—a glamorous brunette pop singer with an entirely new appearance, voice, and identity.
As the band continues playing and the audience waits, Sienna faces an impossible decision: run from the nightmare or embrace the opportunity she unknowingly bargained for.
Part 1 ends where Sienna Vale's new path begins!
