Courtney's Book Club October 2012: Boyz II Girlz: The Making of The Ballroom Brats by Joe Six-Pack

This story was published a few months ago, but I was able to give it a read recently and must say I loved this story!

The plot is one of my favorite set-ups: Boys Who Become Girls in a Music Group! The story features elements that I'm really into such as surgery and race change!

The illustrations with the story are good and there are some additional fun graphics at the end of the publication.

This is one of about 10 pay stories I've read on Joe's site and this one is definitely in the Top 3.

HELP!: Lost Halloween Special

I recently remembered a Halloween special from when I was a kid that I can't figure out the name of at ALL. It was a Made-For-TV that has probably fallen into obscurity and was completely forgettable to me...except for one scene:

There's a brief scene in the movie that I remember where a mother drops her son off at a school Halloween party and he's complaining because she made him dress up as a girly fairy! After she pulls away he screams at something scary.

Yeah...that's it. Brief, but I really want to find out what movie this was in. If the writers of this movie were sick enough to put something like that in a kid's movie and fuck up my childhood, I'm pretty sure they are regular readers of my blog right now!

This would have aired on TV sometime between 1990-1996. I've tried googling this with NO luck! Please help!

Update on "Search for Missing TG Artists/Authors

Last month, I did a post about trying to find the whereabouts of TG Artists & Authors who have been no longer active. Thanks to viewership and cooperation, now have some updates!

1. Psilotrea/Pteronarcid/Jennifer Brown?

I heard from Miles of Tasteful TG Caps who had posted their original caps on his Yahoo groups. He told me those were unfortunately the only ones he knew of, so her whereabouts are still UNKNOWN!

2. Mariana Hamelin of Girly Panties

Shortly after I blogged about this, Mariana replied and her blog, Girly Panties, is now active again. I've noticed a lot of people have been visiting her blog which is on my sidebar. If you haven't already, be sure to visit. She has some EXCELLENT material on her blog!

3. Jen Derbender

4. Jenny North of TGFA

I have heard from Jenny personally and am happy to report she is still alive! Her website, TGFA, as I mentioned before was one of the first TG Fiction sites I ever visited. She told me she leaves it up because the material is good but is a little too busy to do updates. She has been active supporting her local TG groups and has taking up interest in cosplay! She said she eventually hopes to update the site, which hasn't had a facelift since 2002!


5. Julia Manchester

Still missing. Come on Julia, I'm ready for another story so I can post it as part of my bookclub!

Crossdressing Friends

PLEASE READ (Sequel to a Horrible Cap)

During Bad Girl Week last month, I did a cap for a HORRIBLE picture. I couldn't help myself though, the pic remembered me of dozens of really shitty college dorm rooms and college apartments I had been in where a "party" was happening.

The parties at the university I went to in Maryland a few years ago basically only involved:

1) Tacky decorated rooms with wooden tables, outdated sofas, beer boxes, signs from liquor stores, empty bottles

2) Beer Pong

3) The cheapest and most disgusting liquor/beer available

4) A bunch of douchebag guys wearing polos and backwards baseball caps and/or hoodies

5) Girls wearing the same thing minus the baseball caps

I'm sure this hasn't changed and probably won't for decades. But what I REALLY wanted to see was:

6) Two guys get feminized and start play games with each other!

Now that I think of it, did you ever watch A Dirty Shame where Tracey Ullman picks up a beer bottle with her vagina? I did try that at a party...it's harder than it looks...

Anyways, Claire did an investigation and actually found a picture featuring one of the same girls from the original cap! Great work! I HAVE to do a sequel!

Gender Change Music Video

I love EDM and Avicii is one of my favorite DJ/Producers. Silhouettes has been one of my favorite tracks this year. I was telling a friend about it the other night and looked it up on YouTube. I had NO IDEA the entire video features someone getting SRS!

I guess that's what I get for getting drunk and dancing in clubs rather than staying home and watching YouTube :(

At least I know that doctor's listen to great music when performing surgery.

Courtney Has Moved!

After some hard work and help from some friends, I have FINALLY found a new place and moved out of my parent's house again! I worked a lot this weekend, so I'm finally back on my feet again! (for now...)

Will work on some new caps this week. Claire and I have talked about doing Homecoming Week as a theme since it seems like people still want prom caps in the middle of Fall!

About my new place, it's a basement efficiency in Northeast Baltimore. Quiet neighborhood and the landlord is really nice. It's partially furnished and I need to clean up a little bit before I move all my stuff in, but I'll only be here a few months. Here are some pics:
