Do Black People like TG Fiction?

Really...I'm just curious. I see a few captions featuring African-Americans once in awhile, but usually they involve some white guy being transformed or contain a lot of stereotypes. I also don't think I've ever stumbled upon a story featuring a central African-American character. I've also never met an African-American in the community who admitted to enjoying TG Fiction. I would like to see more of this and plan to do a few caps in the future. Thoughts?

Well, if you are talking about real life, I know for a fact that at least one black person likes TG fiction and captions. I will not out her, but I know she's written a few stories here and there.

I think the main thing is that many times, we use stereotypes of female behavior that aren't true to real life. It probably isn't a good idea to take racial stereotypes and incorporate them into captions unless its so over the top to be considered almost a parody, or if there is some sort of "retribution" for deeds committed in the name of prejudice.

Add to that, captions don't give you much room to really flesh out a character. I know there are some good TG stories with persons of color in them, Fictionmania has them posted. Of course, there is still controversy .. look at the whole Omar Bell universe.

Interesting question, I've been reading Tg fiction for years and doing caps for over a year and I'm black, so I often wonder how many others there are who enjoy the same things.
